Hotlist-Hotlist Requirement: VBA/Excel Developer (production support)

Role: VBA/Excel Developer (production support)

Duration: 3 to 6 months

Location: NYC

Our Direct Client is looking for Sr. Production Support Professional to provide the best possible production-capable environment around FO Tools. The job description also includes application development and deployment for all local and Paris developments. Provide the first and second level support for every FO Tools used to managed risks, hedge, PNL, pricing (equity derivatives).
" Understand business requirements of new projects by working with traders and trading support teams.
" Design and implement software components based on business requirements.  Work closely with other internal IT teams to ensure maximum performance of processes.
" Test to ensure system stability, recoverability.
" Deliver implemented systems into production.  Train first-level support staff in the operation of the systems. Develop technical and support documentation for the systems.
" Participate in the technical production support rotation.  As necessary, obtain the support of technical personnel.
" Communicate progress and problems to management, estimating work schedules and anticipating and avoiding problems.
" Reports to RAD-EQD Support Manager

  

Minimum 2-5 years experience in production support environment
VBA/Excel and Javascript
Equity derivatives pricing principles.

 

a) Candidate must be fluent in Excel+VBA and 

b) must at least have an understanding of Equity Derivatives Instrumentation and Pricing.

 

For instance the candidate must know what instruments are traded in this environment, what factors impact P&L etc... Java Scripting will be nice to have.
Ideally the candidate would already be supporting a trading and/or risk management application.
