Utilizes company version control tool
Supports Application Development staff with respect to database objects
Supports production issues for cubes, DW Reporting, and ETL jobs

Enforces database standards
Configures and maintain SQL Server and database settings
Performs data migrations
Responsible for database backup and disaster recovery
Monitors database and SQL Server performance

Applies updates and upgrades to non-production database environments

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area preferred. Minimum 3 (three) to 5 (five) years of DBA experience required.

Experienced in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 in the following areas: database design; SQL Server architecture; T-SQL programming; performance tuning; stored procedure, function and trigger design and coding; index implementation and maintenance; database backup and recovery; SQL Server replication

The ability to extrapolate database schema to meet the business needs of the application
