Job Description

 

In this position, as a key member of our talented engineering team, the Senior QA Engineer will have the ability and creativity to test and verify complex application software in a fast-paced environment. You are widely known as a self-starter with strong communication skills and proven technical ability.  You work effectively and with a 'can do' attitude with other team members to ensure successful product delivery and market success. 

Responsibilities

 

v      Work with Management, QA, and Development teams to design test cases based upon design discussions, specifications, or use cases

v      Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test suites

v      Create scripts (JavaScript, SQL…) to augment manual testing, validate results against the database and improve the general efficiency, effectiveness, and coverage of tests

v      Participate in functional and regression testing, and performance, load, and stress testing as needed

v      Identify and troubleshoot web application front-end and back-end issues

v      Provide project estimates and plan QA activities

v      Document and track defects in the bug tracking system

 

Qualifications/Experience

 

v      4+ years of software QA experience

v      Strong knowledge and testing of web applications technology

v      Excellent verbal and written communication skills

v      Must be able multi-task several responsibilities simultaneously with minimum supervision

v      Strong analytical and investigative skills, with strong attention to detail

v      Experience using SQL to maintain and manipulate databases

v      Experience testing Data Warehousing software preferred

v      Intermediate programming skills in at least one programming language is a plus

 

Education:

 

v      BS or BA in Computer Science or related technical discipline
