SoftTrans is currently looking for : SharePoint Admin with SQL Server Experience for one of its top clients.
Following are the Position Details:
Title: SharePoint Admin with SQL Server Experience
Location: East Rutherford, NJ
Duration: 6 months
Job Description:
Our client looking for SharePoint admin with SQL Server experience.
• Oversee the SharePoint Portal Server infrastructure, user access and application deployment
• Support the installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of all web portal, front end/application servers and software related to SharePoint infrastructure
• Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new SharePoint based initiatives (Upgraded Versions, Third-Party Solutions, Integration with additional Enterprise Systems)
• Maintain and administer Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis; as well as perform as the SharePoint Subject Matter Expert (SME)
• Provide technical guidance to the team in the technologies related to the development and support of an Enterprise SharePoint environment (understanding relationship with active directory, SQL, IIS, etc.)
• 5 years minimum experience as a SQL Server DBA in a production environment.
• Strong production administration experience is necessary for both SQL Server DBA & SharePoint Administration.
• 3 years experience in SharePoint administration in a production environment.
• On-call support 24 X 7 on a rotation basis. Support is provided remotely, not on site, weekends possible.
• Hours—7:00 am to 4 pm, but hours are subject to change to provide off business hours coverage.
• Support Database Capacity Planning.
• Performed daily, Weekly, monthly and quarterly Database Maintenance activities (Consistency Check, Index Rebuilt, Update Statistics, Database Shrink, and all activities described in Companies Database Maintenance document).
• Implementing Database schema related changes in All environments development, QA, UAT and production.
• Provide Technical advice for application upgrades on database related perspective and provide Technical advice to developers on database issues.
• Perform Install of DBMS software as needed.
• Install necessary patches as appropriate.
• Experience with Quest's Foglight performance analysis tool & other performance tools for SQL Server.
O Experience with Microsoft System Center Management Framework.
