Java/J2EE Developer
6+ Month Contract
Washington, DC
Must be F2F Interview
Rate: $60/hr
This project requires strong knowledge of Java/J2EE, IBM WebSphere MQ and XML and requires support of designing and setting up of both application and associated infrastructure in coordination with other development and Environment Management teams.
Tasks:
1. Work with the architects and technical leads for application/infrastructure design
2. Implement application and infrastructure changes in coordination with other development and environment management teams
3. Accountable for meeting the milestones set for the projects
Skills V Java/J2EE developer:
This position requires a BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience, and more than 8 years professional software development experience in object-oriented language, including minimum of 6 years experience with Java and J2EE. Specific requirements include, but not limited to:
Required:
X Extensive hands on experience with Java, J2EE, JDBC, IBM WebSphere MQ, Spring/Hibernate
Preferred:
X Proven strong technical leadership
X Experience with EJB, JMX, JMS, Log4J
X Experience with software development best practices (RUP, XP, Agile)
X Excellent object oriented analysis and design patterns/techniques with emphasis on Java/J2EE technology
X Wide breadth of knowledge across many Java Open-Source technologies including Ant, Struts, SOA based infrastructure, JUnit and HTTPUnit
X Excellent application performance tuning skills
X Strong hands on experience with UML
X Experience with RDBMS (DB2, Oracle or MS-SQL)
