Oracle Financials RICE Developer

Location: Linthicum MD.

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 2/28/2012

 

Position Description:

Oracle Financials RICE Developer - Design and Develop RICE solutions for the APA team.  Work must be performed onsite.  Resource must be willing to work overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities (refer to Statement of Work) in order of importance:

Job Duty 1  - Participate in the analysis and functional design of BPRS requirements and RICE/gaps, work closely with the functional counterpart on design approach and document, and provide the required technical expertise and input (20%)

Job Duty 2  - Own and perform the technical design, peer reviews, development and unit testing of the Oracle RICE solutions (20%)

Job Duty 3  - Deliver the Technical Design document (TDD), code/build, Unit Test Plan and Results (UTP), and Build Instructions per the project schedule and within budget (20%)

Job Duty 4  - Develop the build instructions and work closely with the Ops CM team to deploy the solution (20%)J

ob Duty 5  - Perform trouble shooting and break-fix for all defects (20%) 

 

Required skills:

Basic Skill 1 & Yrs Exp:  Strong RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, and Extensions) Design and Development experience in Oracle Financials: 4-6 years

Basic Skill 2 & Yrs Exp:  Strong development skills in PL/SQL programming and Oracle Development tools i.e. Oracle Forms Developer, Oracle Reports Developer, Oracle Work Flow, XML Publisher and OA Framework

Basic Skill 3 & Yrs Exp:  Basic Skill 4 & Yrs Exp:  Hands on experience in the full development lifecycle in Oracle Financials using the aforementioned development tools Basic Skill 5 & Yrs Exp:  Good understanding of the business functionality and data model of Oracle PO, AP, AR, FV and GL modules.

 

Must be able to take full ownership and work across teams to complete development on time

Must be able to work onsite and overtime, including evenings and weekends. 

Preferred skills:

Preferred Skill 1 & Yrs Exp: Working knowledge and experience in Oracle 10g BI Discoverer

Preferred Skill 2 & Yrs Exp: Working knowledge and experience in JAVA programming

Preferred Skill 3 & Yrs Exp: Working knowledge and experience in OBIEE

 

 

Important note:

Candidate must have resided in US for 3 consecutive years.  Proof of either residency or citizenship will be required upon on boarding.  Per Statement of Work,      E-Verify must be completed for every resource accepted and on boarded. Full legal name must be used when submitting for this position.

Laptop/Desktop/Headset/Application Requirements:  IBM regular employees, subcontractors and vendors must supply their own computer equipment, locking device, headset and other accessories and/or software needed/required in support of the program.  Both the IBM Lotus Notes application and the AT&T Network Client application will be installed on subcontractors  computer equipment.  IBM Lotus Notes is the official communication vehicle used to disseminate program information.  Only candidates who are willing to have this application installed will be considered for this position.   All laptops must also comply with the IBM's Workstation Security Policy, ITCS300. 

Laptop Configuration:

•             Processor=1- 1.5GHZ or higher

•             Memory=1GB or higher

•             OS XP/Windows 7 Professional due to Lotus Notes capability.  OS Vista is not supported

by IBM, laptops may need to be reconfigured for XP if there are identifiable connectivity

or security violations.

•             Latest Microsoft service pack and security patches

•             Virus software with latest definition installed

•             Personal Firewall (XP firewall should work if configured properly)

•             Microsoft Office 2007 (including Microsoft Project 2007)

•             Screen lock after 30 minutes

•             Computer lock

•             Active LEAP account (for IBM resources)

•             Software Encryption:  It is required by OMB Memorandum 07-16 and CMS policy that all laptops

or mobile devices accessing the CMS network be encrypted with FIPS 140-2 compliant

encryption algorithm. Open Source Software Encryption is not permissible.
