Job Description
O Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skill.
O Master's Degree in relevant discipline (Information Systems, Computer Science, etc).
O Strong analysis and problem solving skills.
O Proven track record of being self motivated with a desire to learn, proactive.
O Strong documentation skills.
O Should have around 8+ year of Unix experience with 3+ years of demonstrated experience and proficiency in managing and maintaining Sun Solaris environment, will be responsible for:-
1. - Installing, configuring and maintaining Sun Servers
2. - Installation and configuration of HA environment using Sun or Veritas Cluster.
3. - Installing /configuring and Managing Veritas Replicator.
4. - Configuration and administration of Sun and Veritas logical volume manager.
5. - Installing and Maintaining Solaris Jumpstart environment
6. - Patch and Package administration
7. - Printer Administration
8. - Writing shell scripts to accomplish day to day system administration task
9. - Configuring and supporting domain on Sun Fire Servers
10. - Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue
11. - Capacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performance
12. - Understanding of SAN and NAS storage.
13. - Installation, configuration and Administration of Netbackup environment
14. - Configuring Unix Security baseline
15. - Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue
16. - Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning
17. Knowledge is shell scripting
