Immediate need for Sr Oracle DBA(Must have Virtualization products exp)

Location: Rochester, NY

Duration: 6 months

 

Required Skills:

·         5 years Oracle Database Administration experience, including 2 years implementing and managing databases in a virtual environment

·         1-2 years Oracle 11g experience

·         Good working knowledge of Sql Server 2005/2008 preferred but not mandatory

·         Experience with backup/recovery, script integration (managing schema changes), provisioning of users, monitoring, patching and storage management of databases in a virtual environment required.

·         Our experience creating and managing DB's with Virtualization Tools is limited.

·         We would be looking for someone who can assist us with training, development of standards and best practices, etc.

·         We would expect the contractor to be able to implement the component databases supporting the virtualization products (i.e. V-Cloud Director")
