Role:  Senior Ab Initio Developer

Location:   Herndon, VA

End Date:  03/30/2012

 

 

Qualifications:

 

*  5+ years of Data Warehouse development experience

*  3+ years hands-on experience with Ab Initio.  In-depth understanding of the GDE, core component sets (i.e. Dataset, Database, Transform, Look-up, De- partition & Partition), file management utilities and usage of environment variables.

*  Hands-on experience designing, developing and optimizing complex graphs that move and/or manipulate large volumes of data

*  Hands-on experience and expertise analyzing and optimizing performance of extracts, loads and transformations

*  Hands-on experience and proficiency with SQL

*  Hands-on experience and proficiency with Unix and shell scripting

*  Strong knowledge and use of BI/DW development methodologies, standards and procedures

*  Resourceful, self starter, little supervision needed

*  Good team work and communication skills

*  Understanding of change management and automation/repeatability

*  Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple development teams across concurrent project tasks
