Description:
1. Extensive experience with SQL Server 2008 R2. 2. At least 6 years of experience with being a SQL Server DBA in a medium to large environment. 3. Managed databases that are a few hundred Gigabytes in size (GB). 4. Know differences among versions of SQL Server (2000, 2005, 2008, 2008 R2) and benefits of each version. 5. SQL Server Replication, extensive experience with transactional, merge, or snapshot. 6. SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), extensive experience with maintenance, administration, and intimate knowledge of best practices. 7. SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), extensive experience with developing packages, tasks, control flow, data flow, and intimate knowledge of best practices. Maintenance and administration as well. 8. SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), extensive experience with maintenance, administration, and intimate knowledge of best practices. 9. Extensive experience with Performance Tuning Transact SQL (T-SQL) Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Indexes using Perf Mon (Performance Monitor) or third party tools. 10. Extensive experience with Backups / Restores. 11. Extensive experience with Disaster Recovery (Log Shipping, Database Mirroring) 12. Extensive experience with database disk configuration (RAID 10 for data, RAID 1 for logs, SAN, SAS drives, solid state drives, tempdb recommendations) 13. Extensive experience with clustering (Active/Active, Active/Passive)
