Project Manager

Location: Atlanta GA or Youngstown OH

Duration: 1 year

 

Job Description:

·        Track and report on the status of RNC rehomes in support of Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) market projects, and special projects to include node B and RNCs (RNC entails rehoming an RNC to a new core element such as SGSN, MSC, MSN, etc.). This responsibility includes projects for existing site augmentation to ensure that all parties meet their critical project milestones.

·        Provide service path visibility by identifying, documenting and reporting rehome related constraints, issues and dependencies (include external dependencies such as 2nd carrier, SGSN, MSN, MSC, etc.).

·        Proactively identify risks and develop and document mitigation plans.

·        Develop project focused market and vendor contacts lists (as needed) for Radio Access Network (RAN), Network Planning & Engineering (NP&E), National Edge-to-Edge PMO, etc. and ensure the lists are updated, distributed and posted.

·        Support existing rehome processes and assist with process improvement as subject matter experts.

·        Generate status reports and update scorecards per standard processes.

·        Facilitate meetings with project team(s) to capture key project statuses, risks, issues,   etc.

·        Ensure the appropriate planner, vendor, engineer, etc. adhere to dates and deliverables as defined by the POR/POE.

·        Ensure project scope and change control processes are understood by all team members and adhered to in accordance with Edge-to-Edge standards.

·        Ensure project information is correct in all key systems. Required

 

Skills/Majors/Accreditations:

·        Strong Program/Project management – minimum 5 years or equivalent experience

·        Successful experience working across multiple organizations and functions

·        Strong written and verbal communications skills

·        Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Effective meeting management skills

·        Excellent negotiation skills needed to prevent and/or resolve issues and problems
