Data Analyst

 

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

 

Duration: 6 months+

 

 

 

Key Skills: Experience desired in Sharepoint, SAP, Advanced Excel, Excel VBA, Access, Business Explorer

 

Job Description:

 

• Responsible for data analysis and modeling, spotting data trends, performing gap analysis, generating reports, and recommending improvements to current business metric collection process.

• This position requires strategic thinking, strong project leadership skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and the ability to communicate across multiple departments as well heightened analytical and statistical skills

• Actively partners with relevant stakeholders; gathering and reviewing of critical inputs to the overall analysis requests and deliverables

• Specific Global HR reporting and analytics responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing and producing reports for Global HR clients, as contracted

• Provide analysis of key metrics and trends in a timely manner and recommend steps to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Global HR teams, as contracted (e.g. Centers of Expertise, critical HR programs, Leaves of Absence and Separations, etc)

• Specific MyHR reporting and analytics responsibilities:

• Provide analysis of key metrics and trends in a timely manner and recommend steps to improve efficiency and effectiveness of MyHR organization

• Responsible for designing and producing reports needed to operate and improve MyHR Regional centers' operations, including regional capacity planning, forecasting, call volumes, resolution time, escalation frequency, etc

• Specific eBay, Inc. reporting and analytics responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing and producing reports needed to support Business Unit initiatives & needs (e.g. one-time major Reduction in Force exercises)

• Supports the regular production and distribution of key people dashboards and metrics

• Support ad hoc project/analysis requests as needed.

• Partners closely with HRIS & IT

• Actively seeks opportunities to increase personal productivity, service quality and performance for optimal service delivery to clients and stakeholders

• Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset through innovation, process improvement and enabling technology

• Liaises with existing HRBs, COE's and business analytics teams to understand existing capabilities and reporting needs and to ensure optimal reporting and analytics for clients

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years college degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with a concentration in a quantitative area

• 2-5 years experience performing analytics

• 1-3 years of HR or client-focused experience is desirable

• Experience performing analytics (forecasting, scheduling, real-time management)

• Ability to analyze complex data and processes, draw meaningful conclusions, and make business recommendations based on the findings

• Ability to spot trends or patterns within data sets, and determine causality from different data sets

• Define data requirements as required

• Strong customer service orientation, with specialized knowledge of Employee Relations processes and policies and company policies and practices

• Excellent problem-solving, inquiry management, investigatory and issue resolution skills

• Proactive and solution focused with an ability to deal effectively with difficult interactions and tough issues

• Thrives in a client-focused environment

• Ability to use technology and multi-task; Strong knowledge of Excel, Access and PowerPoint

• Ability to work independently

• Experience with SQL and SAP is preferred

• Multi-site contact center environment (or comparable work related experience) is desirable.
