Title:  SSIS Developer

Location:  Des Plaines, Illinois

Rate:  $47 per hour MAX

Duration:  3-6 month contract (should be extended based on quarterly budget approval)

Reason for Need:  Heavy work load

 

 

Please focus on the following:

 

MUST HAVE:  2+ years of SSIS Development accompanied by Logical and Physical Data Modeling.  Strong communication skills are a must.

 

Job Description

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

The individual should have strong analytical, problem-solving, collaborative skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. The resource will be responsible for analytics requirements analysis; data quality assessment; data profiling; design and development of analytic data sets; data extract, transform, and load (ETL) from relational databases; analysis and handling of data outliers and missing values; statistical analysis and modeling; application of analytic algorithms for predictive modeling, segmentation, forecasting, and optimization, presentation and implementation of processes to facilitate the creation of the analytic results, documentation of all activities.

 

The successful candidate will provide support in multiple dimensions including:

 

• Using data mining techniques to develop approaches or solutions that facilitate decision-making or otherwise directly impact our client's objectives
• Extensive experience with designing and writing scripts to extract, transform, cleanse and load data
• A solid understanding of the ETL processes, the Kimball methodology and Star-Schemas
• Flexibility to work in an evolving framework with evolving business requirements
• Excellent technical troubleshooting and code debugging skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as a team member on projects
• Develop an understanding of the relationships between data in the front-end systems versus the data warehouse and be able to reconcile the data between the two.
• Package design/development using SQL Server Integration Services, Microsoft's ETL platform and/or iWay Data Migrator (ETL tool).
• Package design/development using Microsoft Analysis Services
• Logical and physical dimensional data modeling experience
• Regression testing, impact analysis of changes to environment
• Data mapping and transformations / data lineage
• Experience building aggregate aware datasets and materialized views

 

The candidates must have experience with following technologies:

 

• Microsoft SQL Server 2005 & 2008
• Microsoft Analysis Services
• Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services
• Oracle 10g & 11g

 

Experience with the following technologies a plus:

 

• Sybase PowerDesigner (Modeling tool)
• iWay Data Migrator (ETL tool)
• iWay Data Quality Center
