Position: Cognos BI Developer  (face-2-face required)
Location: Nashville, TN
Duration: 6+months 
Rate: $55/hr all inclusive
 
Preferably consultant form Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, or Georgia.
 
Currently we are searching for a Business Intelligence Developer to fulfill an immediate vacancy.
This individual will be responsible for design, construction, testing, optimization, deployment, and operational support of ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and complex reporting solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Cognos Framework Manager and Report Studio.  This role will participate in the definition of data load strategies in order to optimize the use of enterprise data to effectively meet the organizations business objectives. The Business Intelligence Developer will also evaluate and make recommendations related to ETL and reporting components utilized in the enterprise data warehouse and overall information delivery solution. The ideal candidate for this position will be highly skilled in ETL methodologies and data manipulation requiring complex SQL coding.  The ideal candidate must also have expertise in the visualization and presentation of enterprise data to satisfy analytical, decision support, and operational reporting needs of the business community. This position will function as a member of a larger team and will be responsible for translating business and functional requirements into detailed technical designs and the delivery of ETL processes and reporting solutions according to specification. Participate with business analysts to gather requirements, produce technical specifications, and construct SSRS reports, SSAS cubes and reports, Cognos cubes and  reports, SSIS ETL processes, and  SQL Server stored procedures in an MS SQL Server 2005 and 2008 environment.
 
We are actively speaking with applicants that have a minimum of:
·  8+ years of comprehensive data warehouse analysis and design experience with demonstrated knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling
·  8+ years of experience documenting detailed ETL mapping specifications including complex transformation and aggregation logic within a multi-dimension database model
·  5+ years of experience developing ETL packages with SSIS in a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008 environment including scheduling and automation using SQL Server Agent
·  5+ years of experience in writing SQL stored procedures in a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008 environment
·  5+ years of experience developing ETL and reporting solutions within a dimensional database architecture with proficiency in Type-2 slowly changing dimensions
·  5+ years of experience with Microsoft tuning and performance optimization tools
·  5+ years of experience developing reports using SSRS in a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008 environment
·  3+ years of experience developing cubes, reports, and dashboards using SSAS and MDX SQL in a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 environment
·  3+ years of experience developing cubes and reports in IBM Cognos 8 Framework Manager and Report Studio
