Job description:
Need a Software Engineer to participate in the development and enhancements of new web project development.
The successful candidate will primarily interface with the project’s technical-lead. This individual will be responsible for the following project tasks/deliverables:
§ Development of efficient, performance-minded VB.NET/C# code written in a manner compliant with object-oriented standards and principles such as interfaces, inheritance, encapsulation, and abstraction.
§ Experience implementing design patterns such as Abstract Factory/Factory, Decorator, Observer, Template, etc.
§ Development of
§ Development of cross-browser compatible JavaScript code leveraging hand-written JavaScript.
§ Development of cross-browser compatible JavaScript code leveraging at least one major JavaScript library (E.g., jQuery)
§ Creation/maintenance of cross-browser compatible CSS
§ Creation of performance-minded logic/stored-procedures in SQL Server 2008 as well as good understanding of Oracle database connection calls.
§ Maintenance & debugging of existing code-base (client-side & server-side)
§ Knowledge of creating unit-tests and at least one unit-testing framework
§ Participation in object-oriented design/architecture of new modules
§ Understanding of Reporting functionality and interfacing with third-party reporting software.
§ Understanding of client certificates and single sign-on methodology necessary.
Specialized Knowledge/Skill required:
· Platform: ASP.NET (vb.net/c#) versions 2.0/3/3.5/4
· Tools: Visual Studio(2008/2010), Visual SourceSafe, IIS 6 and later, Sql server Management studio
· Database- Sql Server/ Oracle -(proficient in stored procedures, views and triggers),
· Client side scripting – Experienced in handling
· Reporting – Understanding of Business objects and integration with asp.net web application.
