Primary Skills: C++ Development Location: New York City, NY (Local Candidates preferred) Rate: DOE, Duration:6 Months+ Description: Role Title: Equity Derivatives C++ Senior Developer. There is a strong preference for someone with VC++ experience. Again, we are looking for <=$70 rate. Description: - Support, develop, test and document highly reliable client and server side systems in a structured, disciplined, and fast moving environment. - Be comfortable developing systems using a variety of languages. Develop within a controlled process, including design and code reviews. - Work with other technology groups in a front office environment. - Support the production environment, assist in the diagnosis and resolution of incidents, and maintain the stability and integrity of systems. Basic qualifications: - 5+ years of development experience. - Strong development background using one or more of the following object oriented languages: C++, C# or Java. - Experience in Unix. - Relational database, preferably Sybase. - Working experience with distributed systems and multi-tiered architectures. - Strong problem solving skills/analytical skills. - Strong communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - MFC/C++ GUI development. - Financial industry experience, equity shares and/or derivative sales/trading.
