Job Title: User Experience Developer
Duration: 6 Moths
Location: Eden Prairie, MN.
Job Description:
- This role will be part of Client's Web Design & Usability COE and positioned to bring critical UX design & front-end development skills to the redesign effort for one of our business's customer facing web applications.
- This role will partner with our UX team and other business and IT teams to deliver customer facing website deliverables.
- This redesign is employing current web features and requires resources that are fluent in progressive enhancement,
- Accessibility, javascript/jquery tools and data visualization solutions. Successful candidate will be able to interpret
- Business requirements and iterate thru wireframes and develop site in conjunction with other developers.
Essential Responsibilities
• Developing front end code, leveraging Client standards and technology advancements in the market
• Define and Translate design deliverables such as site maps, wireframes and comps that adhere to Client Branding
- guidelines into functioning we pages that meet customer and stakeholder needs
• Contribute to and maintain Client's site front end markup standards and guidelines
• Enhance existing sites and applications to improve usability, code structure, browser performance and improve customer experience
• Constantly assess, evaluate, and integrate best practices and industry innovations in web development
• Collaborate with Project Managers, functional subject matter experts, and business IT Application Leaders to define and execute on application changes
Desired Characteristics
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in site development
• Knowledge of IT systems and technology
• Excellent leadership, site design and development skills as demonstrated by having lead, designed and implemented successful projects
• Must be highly independent and motivated and be equipped to support multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Proficient in latest versions of HTML / CSS and web standards (W3C)
• Solid foundation in Javascript/Javascript libraries and frameworks (ie: JQuery, dojo, etc)
• Experience with unobtrusive Javascript techniques / progressive enhancement
• Capable user of graphics programs such as Photoshop (this is not a visual design position but there is an expectation that a person in this role can assess image requirements to slice, export and optimize)
• Follow web trends in design, functionality and technology
• Experience with AJAX applications
• Understanding and experience with version control
• Familiar with other facets of interactive design & development, ie: flash / video, with web standards and multi-browser compatibility
• Strong ability to work across functional teams, including designers, developers, marketers, and business teams
• Attention to detail and relentlessly pursue excellence in producing quality deliverables
• Candidates must show samples of code and designs they have accomplished
